The artist Henk de Bouter makes striking artworks which are a mixture between painting and computergraphics. It is neither art which is made with the computer, but also painting about the computer.The Bouter ask himself in his work how he can use the technique inside the computerhardware for his 2 dimensional paintings, and also what exactly the influence from the new media on our brains is. He is also searching for new technical possibilities how to shift the borders of traditional painting.
